Construction / Nimex Solutions

Site costs, approvals and committed cost in one Odoo project.

Odoo Project, Purchase and Accounting give a contractor one place for budgets, orders and invoices. We have built the pieces that matter most on site: expenses photographed where they happen, approvals that follow your hierarchy, and a margin per project. Bills of quantities, progress certificates and retention we engineer for your contracts, and we label them that way.

Construction challenges

The money is committed on site. The figures arrive in the office weeks later.

A crane for two days, fuel for the generator, a scaffold extension: small decisions on site add up to the margin of the job. When they reach the project only with the vendor bill, nobody can stop a budget overrun while it is still a request.

  • Receipts travel in the glovebox

Site costs reach accounting when someone hands over a pile of paper, long after the money was committed.

Built by NimexProject expenses captured with the phone camera on site, approved, and turned into purchase orders linked to the expense.

  • Who may commit how much?

Limits exist on paper; in practice a phone call approves a rental nobody can trace later.

Built by NimexAn approval engine on any button, with amount conditions, walking your management chain step by step, enforced on the server.

  • Is the job still profitable?

Budgets live in a spreadsheet, commitments in purchasing, costs in accounting.

Standard OdooAnalytic budgets with committed purchase orders; our project margin tab adds sales, purchases and approved expenses in one figure.

  • Progress billing and retention

Contracts are billed by progress, with retention held back and released at handover.

What we buildMilestone invoicing is standard Odoo. Bills of quantities, progress certificates and retention we build for your contract types.

Workflow demonstration

A crane rental from the site to the committed cost.

The site engineer photographs the rental. Above 10,000 TRY the expense cannot be approved directly: the request goes to the project manager, then to the operations director. Once approved it becomes a purchase order, and the equipment budget's committed cost follows.

  2. Approval chainA rule with an amount condition; the request walks the manager chain one level at a time.Built by Nimex
  3. Purchase orderThe approved expense becomes a request for quotation, then a confirmed purchase order.Built by Nimex
  4. Committed costThe analytic budget counts the confirmed order against the equipment line.Standard Odoo

Configured per project. The expense capture and the approval engine exist in our code; the rule, the 10,000 TRY threshold and the two approval levels shown here are set for each client's organisation.

Construction capabilities

What exists today, and what we would build with you.

We have not delivered a dedicated construction product, and we do not present one. What we offer is standard Odoo for projects, purchasing and accounting, our proven extensions for site costs and control, and engineering for the contract mechanics your jobs need.

Standard Odoo for contractors

  • Standard Odoo

    Projects, milestones and Gantt

Phases as tasks and milestones, planning on a Gantt chart, documents and site photos attached to the project, invoicing per milestone.

    Odoo Project
  • Standard Odoo

    Purchasing and analytic budgets

Requests for quotation, purchase agreements with suppliers, analytic budgets per job and cost line with committed purchase orders.

    Odoo Purchase
  • Standard Odoo

    Equipment maintenance

Cranes, generators and vehicles as equipment, with preventive plans and maintenance requests from the site.

    Project expenses to purchase orders

Site costs such as equipment rental captured with photos on the project, approved by accounting, and turned into purchase orders linked to the expense.

  • Built by Nimex

Approval engine for purchases and sales

Rules on any button with record conditions such as an amount, routed through the manager chain, enforced against the interface, the API and imports.

    Project margin and profitability

One margin per project from confirmed sales, purchases and approved expenses; a per-serial profitability report where projects deliver equipment.

    Multi-currency purchase split

Route-generated requests split into one request per vendor currency, for imported equipment bought in EUR next to local material in TRY.

    Inspection and service worksheets

A paper report rebuilt as a signable Field Service worksheet with a matching PDF, the pattern we use for site inspections and handover reports.

    Imports with a dry run

Excel catalogues and purchase lists loaded with a test run and a log per line, so a material list is imported once and correctly.

What we build for your contracts

  • What we build

    Bills of quantities

BoQ items with units, quantities and unit rates per section, imported from your estimate and measured against progress on site.

  • What we build

    Progress certificates (hakediş)

Cumulative work done, previous certificates and this period's amount, for clients and for subcontractors, invoiced from the certificate.

  • What we build

    Retention held and released

A retention percentage withheld on each certificate, tracked per contract and released at provisional or final acceptance.

What we do not claim for construction

  • A delivered construction product or a construction client reference.
  • Bills of quantities, progress certificates or retention as existing features.
  • CAD or BIM integration.
  • Site safety or regulatory compliance functions.

In the interface

Site costs, purchases and progress, the way the office reads them.

What we build · sample design

A progress certificate with retention

How a certificate would read in Odoo: cumulative progress, previous certificates and retention, then an invoice from the payable amount. A design for your contracts, not an existing feature.

Standard Odoo

Site equipment maintenance

Preventive plans and requests for cranes and generators.

One request per vendor currency

Project expenses with photos and their purchase orders

Every site cost on the project with its photo, its state and, once approved, the purchase order it became. Field costs enter the normal purchasing and vendor-bill flow instead of employee reimbursements.

Project cost dashboard

Budget against committed cost, line by line.

Committed means confirmed purchase orders and approved expenses on the job's analytic account. A line close to its budget shows before the vendor bill arrives.

Composition on sample data. 121,500 + 351,000 + 57,000 + 168,000 = 697,500 of 900,000 = 77.5%.
